The biggest lie told by the US empire and both of it's imperialist parties is that our country has to wage war in order to bring freedom and democracy to the world. The US wages war to enrich weapons makers, steal and control resources, impose capitalism and stop socialism. Today's New Yorker cartoon: A military official stands behind a podium and says, “We have no concrete idea what we did, what comes next, or what it means for the globe, but other than that it was a spectacular military success!”

That’s exactly what goes through his peanut sized brain. No idea what we did. Other than that, a great military success.

Which brings me to the question, does this mean congress has thrown up its hands and say let peanut brain rule the roost? Because it sure looks that way. A truly terrifying idea indeed.

As long as the MAGAts hold all 3 branches of government, impeachment will not happen. They’re all in lock-step with Trump, even when they disagree out loud. We have 458 days left until the midterms, so if everyone angered by what this regime is doing votes BLUE, and we take back both the House and the Senate, then impeachment can happen and with pretty much a guarantee of success. But do we really want changling Vance to occupy the Oval Office, or Mike Johnson? So for now we need to focus on taking back Congress and preparing for the 2028 election.

Despicable people do despicable things. It is totally possible Trump sees this as not only a diversion from his domestic chaos, but a way to exploit our own resources i.e., 'drill baby drill' at home - because Iran has ability to control the flow of oil. Either way, despicable, and not in US interests at all!

There are a host of threats that Mr. Litman discusses--the very real risk of retaliatory Iranian action, the threat to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz,... ...but the one that causes me the most concern is that Trump will use the strikes as an excuse to repress and criminalize dissent of any kind in the US.

America should be grateful Trump didn't bomb Los Angeles, yet. Trump was given immunity for all his presidential actions, and this was a presidential act. The Supreme Court continues to rewrite the Constitution. How many laws, rules or norms has Trump and Musk broken, with no punishment?

What are cowering Republicans or milquetoast Democrats going to do?

Cheeto’s “Weapons of Mass Destruction”

The Orange Cheeto with his Nazi sycophants in the cabinet used the pretense that the Iranians had enough enriched uranium to make a bomb negating his own national intelligence that it was not the case Cheeto has claimed that this was the “final blow” to such a program but one Iranian observer has said that this will only deter Iranians for a year until the program will be back and running

Now the international geiger counters used by agencies to detect any emitted radiation that would be released from the bombing of the radioactive sites have detected nothing So it appears that the ruse that Cheeto made that the bombing strike would take out enriched uranium and suggests that it was a Bush “weapons of mass destruction” fantasy that satisfied no one but Netanyahu who has been saying for decades that an “Iranian nuclear bomb” was just around the corner Perhaps the enriched uranium had already been moved but we will never know

So Cheeto was stupid enough to buy what Netanyahu was selling…prior presidents have been dismissive but Cheeto was dumb enough to take the bait And now Iranian sleeper cells within the US could be activated as Iran

It is highly doubtful that TACO man has the brains to think about any of the issues you enumerated, Harry. Who do you think is actually running the country right now?

1) Lev Parnas says Putin green lighted our bombing so Iran would shut the Straits of Hormuz thereby raising oil prices--Russia's main revenue source as its economy is falling into recession

2) The IDF claims that the Trump administration orchestrated the attack pm the Qatari base: https://www.rawstory.com/trump-iran-2672418689/?u=534acf0941d852cf620a376b0ea5643ac22540753b09146a5c211ce1e7cc8a53

Yes, 47 has shown himself to be Netanyahu's lackey, US Congress & Americans be damned.

But worse, much worse, is 47's Cabal (Vance, Thiel, Miller, Bannon, Vought et al) *&* the Complicit Cabinet who are seeking those weapons of mass destruction - again.

Once again the people will pay for another "spectacular military success."

Thank you for explaining this clearly for the benefit of those of us who are not legal scholars. Perhaps the absolute dumbest comment to come out of this regime (and it’s a very low bar) is Vance’s assertion that we aren’t at war with Iran, we’re at war with their nuclear program. Does he seriously believe that dropping bombs on a nation - anywhere on their soil - feels impersonal? On a related note, I’m wondering if you have read Liz Cheney’s recent advice to Democrats? It is powerful and on-point.
