To appoint a lawyer, who has made it a point to attempt to use the law for his own purposes and those of his clients, as a judge, is not only an irony, it’s a travesty.

Yes. It is an affront to the rule of law.

Bove’s performance before the Senate Judiciary Committee was cringeworthy at best. Slitheringly subversive actually. Not one of the members who heard his non-answers should approve this patently political appointee.

He should also be rejected for his memory problems. "I don't recall" does not seem very creditable.

Are there any Republican members on the judiciary committee who might not put forward this nomination?

We can sure wish for some morals , but unfortunately I think the GOPers will just rubber stamp him in just as they did with the other unqualified jerks.

Grassley should be well past the point of worrying about being primaried. But we'd be fools to count on him finding his inner decency. That appears to have been flushed back in 2016.

I was in High School with this guy.

He was an asshole then too.

If I had known the future, I probably would have strangled him and saved us all a lot of heartache.

Seems like rather than being elevated to the bench, Bove should be disbarred and precluded from ever practicing law again ... something about integrity in the Judiciary, since it is evidently no longer the norm in the DOJ (& perhaps too late for the Judiciary given Thomas, Alito, Cannon et al).

What an outrageous web of deceit and corruption. And this is OK in this democracy? No, it isn’t. I am not attorney but I have watched the steady and relentless assault on the concept of decency and the rule of law. This regime must be held accountable! As a minister I speak truth to power, it is my mandate.

Trump is so much a Mafia Don. You do me this one favor, .... and I'll be in your debt. Under Pam Bondi, the gloves are off. She's sold out to the highest bidder and so have Bove, Blanche and Martin. Relying on Chuck Grassley to hit the brakes is hopeful but not realistic. Even though, at his age and seniority, he could afford to find his back bone.

‘’…where charges are lawfully supported, dismissing them for political reasons constitutes a direct assault on the rule of law.’’

That being the case, we may consider that US law has been roofied and gang raped.

Prediction: 1. Bove will go before the Senate 2. A few Republican Senators will have serious questions 3. Bove will take the path of RFK Jr. 4. those few Senators will be satisfied 5. Bove is confirmed. We have seen this movie before. Kakistocracy continues.
