It may be a new low, but they will find the next one soon enough. There is no bottom with this regime.

A wonderful piece that shows not only Bove's unfitness for a judgeship but also the depth of the Trump administration's contempt for the judicial system. Thank you, Harry.

Is anyone qualified in this administration, I think not. Mostly qualified to destroy and plunder, this has gotten so out of hand. If the opposition, the democrats, think that watching the republicans destroy themselves and standing by and watching is a good idea they are DELUSIONAL! We won’t have a country left by election time, if there is another election, they are trying their hardest to stop any hope of a fair election.

I agree this regime is filled with frauds pretending to be leaders and I wish we had enough Democrats in office to stop them. But people need to stop blaming Democrats for what republicans are doing to the country. It’s self destruction. They are our only hope at this point so please don’t weaken them.

I do share your frustration.

Nothing but misfits and cowards in this "administration". Latest jaw-dropping abomination is cutting $140M in grants from fentanyl treatment programs.

Is this where the Trump II administration -- and the entire Republican Party -- finally hit bottom? Or are we about to discover that, as low as they've gone, there's a bottom below even that?

Thanks so much for this summary of Bove's total unfitness for this job -- or any other job that requires public trust.

There is no bottom. There is no low to which they won't stoop.

Attorney Litman’s piece is so powerful and so clearly expressed that we must all do what we can to assure it has the widest possible readership — among friends, family, elected representatives, and anyone else who might be able to influence the Senate to reject this nomination.

Being confirmed would be Bove’s first step toward a lifetime appointment on SCOTUS.

Still in the running: *Judge* Aileen Cannon...I actually thought that if the weight of testimony against Bove would force tRump to pull the nomination, he would respond by putting up Cannon, who at least has served — hardly honorably, but still — as a federal district judge.

Lots of turkeys out there just awaiting that call from tRump for a promotion.

Any vacancies occurring in the 11th CA may see a Cannon nomination — out of spite, I might add, seeing how she was slapped down a few times by the 11th over her crap rulings in the MAL docs case.

Yeah, incompetence and creating chaos are the only qualifications for the job. I forgot that she was in a different circuit. But I don't see this maladministration following any sort of tradition or federal rules or anything and appointing to a particular circuit either.

Another excellent article. Thank you for writing it.

This Senate has proven that it will confirm nearly anybody Trump wants, not only because the President’s will matters, but because Trump's revenge matters. Any Republicans who cause Trump's nominations to lose confirmation votes know they and their families risk physical violence instigated by Trump and carried out by his followers. Those Senators can still vote NO as long as Trump's nominee wins with a JD tie-breaker vote (it's cover, but still not a guaranteed Avoid-Trump-Revenge card). Bove, Habba, Pirro, and that F-ing guy, Herschel Walker, will be among the many bad nominees to be confirmed. I think the worst is yet to come: SCOTUS nominees (plural!).

“It’s the conduct of a senior official who shows contempt for the courts, the Constitution, and the basic limits of executive power.”

Which also applies to Trump.

The only thing that matters to GOP senators is that Trump wants him.
