As an elder who came of age in the 60’s, many of my friends joined the military in a burst of patriotism and a rush of male testosterone. These 18 and 19 year olds soon confronted the reality of the horrors of Vietnam and the unwelcome reception of the American public. That didn’t mean they could walk away from their duty. And they didn’t. So I say to those in Congress who took an oath to the Constitution that there is no “not what I signed up for” excuse. You wanted to serve your country together with all the status attached to the position. And you have an obligation now regardless of whether your wives don’t want to be “harassed at Church, the grocery store or the Club”. Yes, it’s personal. It is for all of us.

Agree with you, Laurie. As "Give 'Em Hell Harry" Truman said, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen!" Every fearful congressman can resign. I feel no empathy for their wives dreading pushback at church, 'the club," the grocery store, whatever - they are wives of congressmen in a newly authoritarian regime. They can resign and just live their normal lives. Bowing to the regime is NOT what they were elected to do! So if this isn't what they signed up for, go in peace. Please.

Today I sent an opinion to the white house via email and was required to give name, address, phone number and email. I briefly considered they can do something like shut off my social security with that info because my comment is contrary to what the plans are. But then I thought - okay, come get me then. I'm 75, was a young woman during the Vietnam War, and all hell broke loose during that time. Me sitting quietly in my kitchen hoping to not be noticed is not a resistance plan.

Donald Trump is a Russian asset, according to a story in "The Guardian" (1/29/21), who was recruited by the KGB as far back as 1987. The hollowing out of our government and of our military, and the other horrors that Trump is currently inflicting on Ukraine and the rest of the free world, are Moscow's reward for its longterm (financial) investment. in him.

Better still: put every one of them under oath before inquiring if they too are also beholden to Moscow. I can think of a couple of members of Congress who would rather perjure themselves than answer truthfully.

Look at the damage that has already been done in less than 2 months. We must fight back now. Fight fire with fire. If families are being harassed we must harass back only harder. We can't be afraid of the consequences. We must make them afraid of the consequences.

To counteract the muzzling that is occurring, GET LOUD. Here's an action to take - send pink postcards to the WH and all your reps as PINK SLIPS for DT: to the WH - "YOU'RE FIRED!" and to Reps "FIRE TRUMP!" (add "Before i fire you!" if applicable). Order 1000 (6cents@) from Paperworks and have postcard parties! Then mail all of them on March 15 - the Ides of Trump. Every person who sees them - in POs, mail rooms, etc - will receive a grim laugh and encouragement. Every action we take will give heart to others to GET LOUD. https://www.dwcmarco.org/event-details/the-ides-of-trump-postcard-mailing-campaign

I don't trust the USPS to deliver first-class mail let alone a postcard. Maybe if postal workers are concerned about their jobs being on the chopping block, they'll route them to their destination and not into the trash can.

I think their concern for their own USPS and their own jobs is what we should keep in mind. I also believe dumping legit mail will cost them their jobs - illegal, if anyone notices or brings a law suit.

And in re: genuflecting governors, I suppose we have to now wonder what's up with Gavin Newsom. Is he fearing irrelevance as he terms out with no where to run? What otherwise might explain his reported soft pitch session with Charlie Kirk on the gov's inaugural pod cast? That and his selling out roof top solar to rapacious private California energy companies. He has yet to (publicly) go full blown MAGA, but more than a few California residents are wondering if Newsom's flipped a biscuit.

Yes, here are some examples, all election related.

1. Right wing individuals signing on as Dems, N’s, and Independent candidates for local elections, some carry it out more artfully than others.

2. And some just sign on and do or respond to absolutely nothing. Total no-shows, again many who don’t pay as much attention as they should can fall for a letter designation easily, end up a victim of their own vote.

3. Recruiting candidates with close names to confuse the voting public who aren’t paying as close attention as they should.

A good reminder to know your candidate before giving them your vote. Talk to trusted, more activist than yourself. Contact your union or ask a friend to, or call your local political party. The later two vet thoroughly before they endorse any candidate. Ask trusted people, look for and read articles, social media posts, etc. Write a letter to the editor to out someone who’s obviously cheating. Challenge them to set things straight. Get word out.

U R most welcome. That’s happening in our state. Just the real crazies, but then they cleaned it up a bit and people need to up their games. The latest seems normal until you read his quotes. I’ve heard about other states having the same problem. Just like “Buyer Beware,” we now need some serious “Voter Beware”!

(Sorry about the all caps, I thought it would post a bit less in one’s face than it actually ended up. I’ll do better next time! (😬‼️)

Musk’s demotion is to have the Federal cabinet leader liable for future Federal employee firings. Musk has thousands of civil lawsuits coming his way for fired-employee damages. There is a fraud by Trump and Musk. Americans are being played. Illegal actions are not savings, they’re crap. We are being distracted by hundreds of line item veto “ex post facto” savings, all of which are illegal. We are being distracted by Federal employee firings, all of which are illegal. We are being distracted by thousands of cancellations of grants and contracts, all of which are illegal. The courts are intervening now. The Fraud on America: Trump, Musk, and Speaker Johnson are trying to ram through the tax cuts, before: • the courts cite them with civil contempt and levy huge financial penalties • the impact of their illegal actions are reversed, and their “savings” flip back to $0.00. I call for immediate full disclosures of what currently is in douchebag Musk’s DOGE bag of findings. He is hiding that at the moment since the courts have stifled his efforts. Let us make him certify his cost and pricing data, so that it comes under the Truth in Negotiations Act, now the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act (Title 41 U.S.C., Chapter 35). That must be required. I also call for Musk’s testimony under oath before Congress. I call for Musk to divulge the truth of what he found, after he deletes what the courts say he cannot do. He cannot fire. He cannot cancel a single contract or grant. He cannot impound funds. Johnson intends to use Musk’s currently bogus data in his CR bid. Crook. Spare me the BS braggadocio about saving billions and billions. Illegal actions are not savings, they’re crap. I don’t buy crap when we are talking about a $4.5 trillion tax cut. I say Trump and Musk’s ploy is all a fraud founded on a bag of smoke and mirrors, now a hidden accounting not corrected by current court edicts, and a “bury you in paper” con job. Let us see it. Empty the douchebag’s DOGE bag. Transparency now! Don’t let the douchebag hide it another day. We cannot shoot any line item down until the residual data is displayed. https://hotbuttons.substack.com/p/empty-doges-bag?r=3m1bs

Check out the mandate of the US Marshals Service.

28 U.S. Code § 566 - Powers and duties

(a)It is the primary role and mission of the United States Marshals Service to provide for the security and to obey, execute, and enforce all orders of the United States District Courts, the United States Courts of Appeals, the Court of International Trade, and the United States Tax Court, as provided by law.

But the military swears their allegiance to the Constitution and to serve the American people, not one leader or political party. They may not carry out illegal orders. Hopefully all, or st least most, will honor that.
