If "Indie" means "independent", i.e. not big label, corporate sponsored bands, go with Blackberry Smoke out of Atlanta = rock 'n roll (since 2001), Robert Jon & the Wreck (California since 2011) rock 'n roll and Larkin Poe (Rebecca and Megan Lovell sisters co-leads/Georgia origins/Nashville now) since 2010. All three will take your minds off of the mess the world is in! And thanks Harry for your substack and YouTube shows. Your straight talk is so much appreciated on politics or music! From France.

Larkin Poe: the sisters are excellent. They've got a series of cover tunes on YouTube that are phenomenal.

Larkin Poe play the blues very well, but they play other genres besides blues, also very well. They did a fantastic job as Elvis Costello's backing band on a tour some years back. And they came out of a more old time/blue grass tradition if I'm not mistaken. So they're just all around good musicians with good taste in music.

There are numerous random murders all day, all night in America The black neighborhoods kill each other off like ants. That being the case, those nasty Hispanic Panama crooks are irritating Trump so he wants to buy the Canal. Greenland does not serve ice tea, and Diet Coke, so he wants to buy the country. Trump has a very simple, banal life: If you can not buy it, if you can not fuck it, it is not worth my time. What a mother fucker racid piece of zoo mule shit

So these so called roundtable of experts include some of the old guard "centrist" Democrats who helped usher in Trump/MAGA. Let's look at their history.

To be frank Paul Krugman and Heidi Heitkamp helped Trump/MAGA get a strong hold with their DINO dispositions in and about the government.

"Krugman wrote an article which criticized Bernie Sanders for his perceived lack of political realism, compared Sanders' plans for healthcare and financial reform unfavorably to those of Hillary Clinton, and cited criticisms of Sanders from other liberal policy wonks like Mike Konczal and Ezra Klein. Later, Krugman wrote an article which accused Sanders of "[going] for easy slogans over hard thinking" and attacking Hillary Clinton in a way that was "just plain dishonest"."

-- Yet here we are now with an oligarchy. Bernie was the only one raising concerns while Krugman was fawning over Hillary Clinton. --

"In 2021, Heitkamp lobbied against Democratic Party efforts to raise taxes on corporations, large inheritances and the superwealthy to pay for a $3.5 trillion social spending bill. The lobbyist John Breaux recruited her to advocate against taxation of large inheritances."

"Heitkamp voted in line with Trump's positions over 54% of the time. Congressional Quarterly published a study finding that she voted with Trump's position 67% of the time. The Associated Press found that she voted with his positions more than 68% of the time. In 2018, GovTrack placed Heitkamp near the center of the Senate as the third-most moderate Democrat, to the right of moderate Republican senator Susan Collins"

In March 2018, Heitkamp co-sponsored the Israel Anti-Boycott Act (s. 720), which would have made it a federal crime for American contractors to encourage or participate in boycotts against Israel and Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories if protesting actions by the Israeli government.[62]

"In June 2018, Americans for Prosperity, which is backed by the Koch brothers, ran digital advertisements thanking Heitkamp for her vote to pass legislation loosening financial regulations on banks." Heitkamp was one of the chief architects of a bank deregulation bill that rolled back provisions of Dodd-Frank. "

I thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Rhett and will definitely do some research on his band. On the political side, I'm always anxious to get your incite into the ongoing politics shitshow and the rule of law. I was totally flabbergasted at seeing Wayne Gretzky at Mara-a-Lago. The 🍊 felon is telling him to run for 'Governor' to replace Trudeau. I personally, have inducted him into the Hall of Shame. Have a great holiday season and all the very best for your family. Thanks Harry, you are a treasure 🇨🇦
