Trump was voted in by those who think like a 5th and 6th grader, as he does. So that doesn't say much for the majority of American intelligence .

I object to your maligning of eight year olds. My kids had much longer attention spans when they were that age.

Nina's avatar

Mine too! I think he has the attention span of a 2 year old!

My dog has a better attention span.

Totally agree. Those who use such comparisons show their ignorance and prejudice.

The Primaries And Nazi Republicans

As I was watching the primary results last night I was struck with the thousands upon thousands of voters who were voting for Nazi Republicans who as leader of the CNPP(Christian Nationalist Pedo Party) brazenly corrupts, lies incessantly, shows by his actions he cares little for the American people he serves, and is a threat to the country’s national security.

So not only candidates are aligned with this kind of behavior but have either morally accepted the facts that this is what they stand for as a person or they use a useful tool called denial to rid themselves of guilt of what they represent.

Let’s get this straight. There are candidates and voters who morally align themselves with a political party that stands for outright corruption at the federal/state level, is remarkably racist and bigoted, and is ok with having their taxpayer dollars fleeced to support an illegal war and pay for a ballroom that nobody wants. Perhaps wealthy Republicans don’t care about corruption as long as they can buy expensive homes and take care of their own selfish needs. Screw the country!

How can this be, that a part of our democratic society is so morally depraved? How can it be that part of our democratic society blesses its demise into a feckless dictatorship and willing to throw away their freedoms that for 250y people have died for? There needs to be some serious reflection and introspection for who WE the People are and what WE stand for.

Maybe they are the real candidates for some great replacement actions?

I am so tired of Trump and his cabal getting away with everything. They have killed more than 200 people illegally. When the hell is somebody going to be held accountable for this?

Joan M's avatar

I'm sure the "chronicling of history" will be a great comfort to the families of the 200 people who have been murdered indiscriminately by these disgraceful "leaders".

Utterly outrageous & very dispiriting. It is the darkest of times.

TRUMPSTEIN. Lest we forget and the victims go un-recognized and the abusers get away Scot Free.

Sorry if this is a bit pedantic but as a lawyer and a scientist, I deeply value precision.

'a coalition of retired senior military lawyers, including former Judge Advocate Generals from multiple branches’

Nope. The plural is correctly stated as ‘Judge Advocates General’.

Professor Litman would never make this mistake in a million years — are the interns editing again?

And I would also like to comment that saying trump has the attention span of an 8 year old sells 8 year olds short. They are usually highly proficient in reading by that age as well as being very curious about the world.

Trump is wholly without any kind of curiosity about anything and he has the attention span of a 2 year old toddler with a perpetual temper tantrum.

My two-year-olds were smarter and not cruel. Tantrums? Yep. They too threw their toys out of their prams but their toys weren't lives. I've never seen anything like Trump. Even Hitler had Germany running well before he began his campaign of terror.

93clementine's avatar

I don’t know enough about Hitler to give him credit or not but his regime did get stuff done, albeit horrendous stuff. Maybe he had more competence around him, for however awful they were at what they did. As has been noted by those more eloquent than me, the cruelty is the point.

The question is what can I/we do to stop trump? How can we get our lawmakers, Senators, House of Representatives, Judges, the Supreme Court, to do their jobs? I vote, I protest, I write letters, I'm 89...

Thank you for highlighting the extrajudicial murders. I have not forgotten and it’s still happening. Kegsbreath had better study up on what happened to Lieutenant William Calley during the Vietnam War. This is the same story of abuse of power. I’m so tired of this criminal regime and how they cover up every unconstitutional outrage with something worse.

Impeach and remove them all.

"... and that is the real trick of the Imperial thought machine: it’s easier to hide behind 40 atrocities than a single incident.” Perfect quote, Harry! You give them credit for timing this stuff; I think doing so would be way beyond capacities. Dolts just do doltings, no depth possible anyway.

And now the inexperienced Bill Pulte has been elevated way beyond his abilities and way past his experience.

But, oh well, he'd slit his own wrists before ever turning on Trump.

Thank you so much for tracking these murders. A boat load could carry some drugs. Planes, trucks, containers, ships probably carry more. If international interdiction is approved by congress then let's hear it? Oh, Larry Ellison crushed 60 minutes. Hesgeth doesn't approve military rank promotions for women and men and people of color. We are supposed to lie down like dogs.

Doug Trabaris's avatar

To his voters, Trump hates the right people. They like his incessant lying, accept his massive corruption, laugh at his vulgar misogyny and racism, and happily go along with economic harm so long as “the other” are being screwed over even more.

Trump’s cult are the worst of the worst, and we need to see them for who they are.
