I am so repulsed by the SC & the way they have become so involved in our bodies. They are killing people & don’t care. They are destroying Drs.

50 years worth of trying to destroy the people of this country for their own beliefs & the others who line their pockets.

Look what this country is becoming.

Get out of our bodies, bedrooms & Drs offices.

At what point are we going to say that they have violated their paths and completely disregard their decisions. I know for people wanting to preserve our institutions this is a bridge too far, but it is the court that has destroyed itself.

If only there were a path besides impeachment to get to the point where they are thrown off the bench.

Thank you, sir. As an 81 year old grandmother I do not understand why this is a problem for people who are not related to the young person in any way or would be directly effected. It really isn’t their business. The GOP used to be very strong in their keep the government out of my personal business. What gender I identify with seems to me to be no body’s business except mine… even as a prepubescent person.

MAGA. has us on a Bullet Train going back into the bad old days.... The next House Election cycle will be interesting as more and more voters realize the pain in their wallets and souls are the result of Trump and Project 2025.

I fear that the implementation of their project, which they plan to do quickly, will forever change the heart of our country (which is exactly what the rotted pumpkin and his handlers want) and it will be too late to fix it by 2026 or 2028.

For those who always wanted to be a Medical Professional but couldn't afford the costs of training. go to Law School. Then you can practice medicine without the degrees.

I somewhat agree with this. I am waiting for the slippery slope to shift and soon all medical decisions will be made by the courts. A bridge too far? I’m not holding my breath. And I am a retired advanced practice nurse.

We already have them weighing in on the Trans Issue, in spite of testimony from experts in this area.

So I saw somewhere that our transgender population equals roughly 40,000 people in the whole country. Why are the Repugnants are so control crazy that they just have to insert themselves in this tiny sliver of population?

> Thus, Roberts emphasized that there were “medical nuances” that weren’t present in previous gender discrimination cases. The upshot, in his view, was that the Court needs to give more deference to state lawmakers because judges lack medical expertise.

Because, as we all know, unlike judges, all Tennessee lawmakers have at minimum an MD and five years of expertise treating transgender minors

It is discrimination if a small group of citizens. If this works out in Tennessee’s favor we can look for other states to do the same. Next it will be some other discrimination of yet another small group of citizens…

I predict that if the court rules the way suggested in this article, it will be a maximum of 3 months before federal lawmakers pass a nationwide ban on GAC for minors, and a federal ban on adult care as well by the end of 2025. Stock up on your hormones if you can.

Judges lack medical expertise ? You justices also lacked medical expertise when you overturned Roe v Wade without blinking an eye Women are now dying because they are being refused medical care even if there is a miscarriage, Because of the overturn of Roe, the court left the decisions over a woman's body to the state legislators and state Governors, who lack medical expertise. This argument is absurd on it's face. Medical expertise comes from doctors who went to medical school who, in fact become doctors, to save people's lives . This whole push to deny care to women and transgender identified children is inhumane and a complete bastardization of the Constitution. People in this country have died fighting for their rights to be recognized yet, the Court discounts those lives lost. This court has dehumanized the most vulnerable and given States the legal right to do the same.

I remember in the past how Justice Sandra Day O'Connor was applauded by judges and staff alike in the federal courthouse where I spent most of my career for her "judicial restraint," and at the time (and still) I did admire her ability to parse through cases to come to the essence and rule on just that federal question. I never did hear talk among my colleagues about her wanting to change law or destroy precedent or any of the things that I hear and see with the present group of cult members. How far we have fallen unfortunately.

The Supreme Court is stepping into medical care and I hope some wise lawyer will sue the Supreme Court justices for malpractice that is resulting in thousands of deaths of women across the country who cannot get appropriate care for pregnancy complications. Now we will have children with precocious puberty unable to be treated and an increase in adolescent suicide. I think the deaths occurring as a result of a Supreme Court altering medical care is a foreseeable outcome and they are liable for the results.
