While some of this flies above the head of someone like me who has no legal training, I understand enough of it to believe that I can still possess some confidence in the judicial branch to push back against a fascist who is doing what fascists do: robbing from the people to enrich himself and his cronies. That is excellent news!
According to the NY Times, DOJ has now lost approximately 10,000 highly qualified attorneys who took the job for its honor and prestige and who have fled because the job has become a stain and a disgrace carrying an enhanced risk of getting yourself suspended or disbarred. Replacing them has become a major headache,with DOJ now offering signing bonuses to any lawyer who will apply ,and hiring unqualified bimbos who would never qualify for the job in an honest administration, and who are well aware of the fact and therefore pliant and easily intimidated. States are benefitting from the influx of qualified new hires.
