I, along with millions of other folks just knew that Jack Smith would be the difference in regards to justice, finally, finding Donny. It didn't happen because (I think) Merrick Garland just wanted to go along to get along. He didn't hire special council 'til the 11th hour.
Hopefully, we can get back to our marginally effective form of governance (pre 2016) before we're all gone. I don't want to hand this shittshow to my kids.
Please don’t forget that SCOTUS slow walked their decision about the felon’s immunity until after he filed papers to run for president again. It was too late, but I believe that would also have happened if Garland brought charges on January 21, 2021.

You know Harry I'm not a lawyer, I'm an artist/craftsman for 50+ years, both of my parents desperately wanted me to study the law and I resisted them in equal measure. My bad!!! Watching what is happening to our beloved country has been dispiriting in the extreme, especially given the tools I possess, outside of writing on forums like this, to fight it. My belief in honesty and integrity comports well with your experience at the DOJ, I would like to think that I would have thrived there.
