IDK how anyone in the trump administration thinks it can erase ANY of our history. Too many ways things are recorded then stored, even re pre-Civil War days.... (if you think about it, the same applies to current actions - even THEIRS ............ times a kazillion............... js)
how do we counter this corruption as attorneys? I, for example, don’t have standing to file a bar complaint against Bondi in florida (perhaps I should say “yet?”). All of these individuals who have violated their oaths of office and professional ethics should at least be disbarred—and at best incarcerated.
As you say, Harry, Truth is not a defense, it is a crime. "This punitive culture spreads terror within the DOJ." And that is exactly the point.
What gets too little notice is that this kind of "management" means that we will get less and less competent representation of the public interest. Given that the "public" interest is now the private interest of Trump and his co-conspirators, that might not be such a bad thing. But when they are banished, rebuilding an actual Department of Justice will be a massive undertaking.
Over at Heather Cox Richardson’s Substack channel she has a great interview with Lina Khan (https://bit.ly/4nubIRe) head of the FTC during the Biden administration and walks through the history of antitrust and how it gained strong momentum during the Reagan years, essentially like Cheeto, bypassing Congressional approval just by changing policy at the executive level
In a general political context the Nazi/Republican party has perennially sought support from the business side of society whereas the Democratic party has supported the interests of the working middle class When unethical business practices affect their employees and the consumer price of goods and services occur, the government can step in to protect the interests of employees and consumers who may get price gouged In the end the government is seen as an intrusion of practices by businesses because they are watched by those who oversee their business practices
What can the average American consumer do to change the monopolistic corporate stranglehold that large corporations and companies leverage against middle class workers/consumers? First get involved at the local level to ensure that workers are fairly compensated, have no NDA influences, and pay attention to what people running for local, state, and federal office have to say about corporate monopolies that can create disadvantages for the American worker/consumer
Pretty soon that bondi woman will issue a statement, a directive, saying that all recorded material that everybody has seen on the storming of the Capitol JAN 6th 2021 by a gang of insurrectionists ordered to do so by the orange felon is all:
"Soros antifa sponsored AI manufactured material with as sole purpose to harm the dear orange leader and hinder him in his quest to make America great and his attempt to give the patriot people of the real America some fine architecture and streets without Spanish speaking people!"
And
"Anybody watching this AI material or referring to this AI material will be prosecuted, convicted and jailed as a traitor before his/her case can be judged by "judges" pirro or cannon!"
I dream of public scaffolds.

What was his sentence ?
Can corrupt attorneys ultimately (under a different administration) be punished? Disbarred?
